Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy

A medical procedure developed in France by Dr. Michel Pistor was given formal recognition by the French Academy of Medicine in 1987. Approximately 60,000 patients in France receive Mesotherapy treatments annually for a variety of reasons including pain management, sports medicine, cellulite elimination, body sculpting, facial and neck skin rejuvenation and as a treatment for hair loss. Presently Mesotherapy is used by over 15,000 Doctors in Europe, the Far East and South America and has recently been introduced to Canada and the United States. Mesotherapy is quickly gaining recognition throughout Canada as an accepted aesthetic procedure and a non-surgical alternative to liposuction and endermology

The key to healthy looking skin is the abundance of two very important substances, collagen and hyaluronic acid. They support your skin and keep it looking healthy and smooth. Hyaluronic acid is a natural sugar found in all living cells that attracts and binds water, hydrating the skin and providing volume. Collagen is a protein that provides structural support for your skin. Your supply of natural collagen depletes as you age. The procedure of injecting a natural substance into your skin will instantly erase aging lines and lift and increase your lip border.

Hylaform is a hyaluronic acid used in injectable form to smooth nose to mouth lines, delicate lines, and deeper folds and for lip enhancement.

The procedure requires a few small injections into the mid to deep dermis of your skin. We inject a FDA approved natural substance already found in your body which supports and flattens your skin to instantly give you a smoother, softer look. The normal treatment time is 30-45 minutes. There is minimal discomfort and virtually no recuperation time.

Dermal fillers will last approximately 6-8 months. The substances are absorbed naturally by your body over time so once or twice a year you may require a follow-up treatment.

At Kurbad Vivian Medical Spa we use only FDA approved substances for this safe procedure that is a proven effective treatment.

There may be mild side effects such as bruising, swelling, minimal discomfort or itching. Consult with our staff to see if you are a candidate for this treatment.
